Privacy notice

The short version

We collect very little. If you send us an enquiry, we use your details to reply to you and to discuss working together. If nothing comes of it, we delete the enquiry two years after our last exchange. This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising tools, and we never sell your information. You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time by writing to info@tigmoco.com.

Who we are

TIGMO Co Ltd is a business development company registered in Nigeria (RC [RC number]), with its registered office at [registered office address]. We decide how the personal data described in this notice is used, which makes us its data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

For anything about your personal data, write to info@tigmoco.com with "Privacy" in the subject line.

What we collect and why

When you send us an enquiry

The form on our website asks for your name, your email address and a short message. You can also tell us your company, your role, the industry and product you want to discuss, and the markets you are interested in. Name, email and message are needed to send the form; everything else is optional.

We use these details to reply to you, to understand what you need, and, if we decide to work together, to prepare a proposal. We rely on two lawful bases for this: taking steps you have asked for before any agreement between us, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. The same applies if you email us directly.

When you visit the website

Our website is hosted by Vercel. Like almost every hosting service, it keeps a short record of each visit: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, and your browser and device type. These records keep the website secure and working. We do not use them to identify you or to build a profile of you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable website.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies or use similar technologies, and it contains no analytics, advertising or social media trackers. If that changes, we will update this notice first and ask for your consent wherever the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data or share it for anyone's marketing. Your enquiry is read only by the TIGMO team members who handle it.

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our email. Vercel Inc. hosts the website and processes the form when you send it. Our email providers deliver the form to our inbox and store our email. These providers act on our instructions and may not use your details for their own purposes.

If a project with you would involve one of our partners, we will tell you before we share any of your details with them. We may also disclose information where the law requires us to.

Sending data outside Nigeria

Vercel and our email providers may process data outside Nigeria, including in the United States and Europe. Where that happens, we rely on their data protection terms, which require them to protect personal data and use it only to provide their service to us, and on the transfer being needed to respond to your request, as the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 allows.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to work, we delete it two years after our last exchange with you.

If we do work together, we keep the relevant correspondence for as long as the working relationship lasts, and after that for as long as Nigerian law requires us to keep business and tax records.

The hosting service keeps its technical records of visits for a short period and then deletes them.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data, or to limit how we use it;
  • object to our use of your data;
  • ask us to send your data to you, or to another organisation, in a commonly used format.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means.

To use any of these rights, email info@tigmoco.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request. We aim to reply within 30 days, and there is no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first at info@tigmoco.com and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng. If you live outside Nigeria, you may also be able to complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Keeping your data safe

Our website and its form use encrypted connections, and only the people who need your enquiry can see it. No system is completely secure, but if a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission where the law requires it.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data about children.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use personal data, we will update this notice and the date at the top of the page.
